Libros Amigos goes to Melbourne

Tras la primera edición de Libros Amigos en diciembre de 2016, Libros Mutantes sigue reforzando su línea dirigida a los más pequeños y viaja a Australia con una selección de publicaciones independientes para niños. Milimbo, Fulgencio Pimentel o Wonder Ponder son algunas de las editoriales españolas que se mostrarán en Melbourne Art Book Fair.
Esta selección incluye cuentos, juegos, álbumes ilustrados y fanzines que destacan por su diseño y su carácter experimental. La feria tendrá lugar en la National Gallery of Victoria del 16 al 19 de marzo (Horarios: V: 10am – 5pm/S: 10am – 8pm/D: 10am – 5pm). Además, Libros Mutantes estará presente en la mesa redonda Print Forever: The resurgence of the art book in a post-digital world (entrada libre) el sábado 18 de marzo a las 3pm, junto a otros profesionales del mundo del libro.

Libros Amigos es un proyecto de investigación en torno a la escena editorial infantil independiente española. Una parte fundamental de la labor es la difusión del trabajo de artistas y editores españoles en el extranjero con el objetivo de ofrecer visibilidad, crear nuevos horizontes de proyección y sinergias con comisarios y distribuidoras internacionales.

After the first edition of Libros Amigos last December 2016, Libros Mutantes keeps working on the children’s book field bringing to Australia a selection of Spanish independent publications for kids. Publications by Milimbo, Fulgencio Pimentel and Wonder Ponder, among others, will be present at Melbourne Art Book Fair. The selection includes tales, games, picture books and fanzines which stands out for their design and their experimental basis. The fair will take part at the National Gallery of Victoria from 16th to 19th of March (F: 10am - 5pm/Sat: 10am - 8pm/Sun: 10am - 5pm). Furthermore, Libros Mutantes will be present at the panel discussion Print Forever: The resurgence of the art book in a post-digital world (free entrance) on Saturday the 18th of March at 3pm, together with other professionals and artists from the book world.

Libros Amigos is a research project mapping the independent children’s book market with a specialised fair and different events throughout the year. A central part of its activity is spreading the work of local artists and publishers abroad offering them visibility and activating new networks with distributors and curators.
